Gary Newman’s Wonderful River Evenlode Roach

Gary Newman with a wonderful river roach of 1lb 15oz from the River Evenlode, taken from his excellent 4-page Angling Adventures article in this week’s Anglers Mail magazine.

The article details Gary’s recent trip with Drennan’s Stewart Moss to a club stretch of the little Thames tributary, in poor conditions and inhospitable weather!  Despite the challenging scenario and non-stop rain, a number of decent Roach were caught using Gripmesh Feeders loaded with Breadcrumb, in conjunction with bread flake hook baits.

Gary’s fine fish actually marks a new river personal best for him by an ounce – a terrific result on the day, and it was his first ever visit to the venue.
Pick up a copy of Anglers Mail magazine this weekend for the full entertaining story!

Both Gary and Stewart used Matchpro Medium Feeder 12ft rods with Slow Taper glass feeder tips – for full details on these rods click here
