Thank you to Cheshire angler Danny Caen for some pictures of recent River Dane Barbel and Chub, like this beauty caught with a Martin Bowler Specialist Barbel rod:-
Danny caught these fish at the end of January in high coloured water conditions, using a large Cage feeder on 10lb ESP Crystal mono to feed a mixture of 4mm Richworth and 8mm Dynamite Baits pellets.
Hookbait was a Bait-Tec hybrid Barbel Hooker to a size 10 Specimen hook to 10lb Gravel braid – which also appealed to the Chub as well!
