This year’s Angling Trust Ladies National was fished at Weston Pools; with Belvedere, Stretton and Weir Pools hosting the competition.

The conditions were favourable with it being warm and overcast, this resulted in plenty of fish being caught between the 42 competitors.

“I managed to catch 43.555kg of carp on banded pellet, fishing on the deck on a top 3, using a trusty B911 eyed hook. My weight was enough to finish 4th overall and most importantly a place in next year’s Fish ‘O’ Mania final.”

With regards to the team element to the competition (which is based on total weight), it was once again Starlets who came out tops with an impressive total weight of 141.605kg.
