David Turnbull from Edinburgh christened his new Acolyte Ultra 14ft float rod by catching this quality 2lb (42cm) grayling in the snow.

“The rod was great and I felt confident playing them in fast water with a 2lb hooklength,” he explained. “The tip cushioned the lunges but it had plenty lower down to beat the fish. Looking forward to getting one of the real biggies that the river holds!”
