Gary Benney sent us this magnificent photo of a 24lb 8oz Swedish Baltic Pike caught on a Series 7 Specialist Avon Quiver 12ft 1½lb whilst Perch fishing!

Gary previously hailed from Somerset, but now lives in Sweden, and was fishing a brackish coastal part of the Baltic Sea for big Perch using small live-baits when the big Pike struck. Gary described the fight:-

“After one hefty battle I landed this 24lb 8oz Swedish Pike. In a word this rod is awesome!”

He’s been doing well with the intended target Perch too, landing four to 3lb soon after.
