Martyn Cattermole banked his 8th pike over the 30lb barrier when he slipped the net under this 36lb 8oz personal best.

He backed it up with a specimen of 24lb 12oz when he fished the prolific Chew Valley Reservoir near Bristol.

The 58-year-old from Bristol fooled his predators with small deadbaits and he’s now landed 85 pike over the 20lb mark.
