Chris Carlyle landed this personal best 2lb 14oz perch from a local canal at the weekend.

The handsome predator was tempted on a lobworm hook bait fished over chopped worm and red maggot feed. The keen East Yorkshire angler used 8lb Supplex line, a Drennan Perch Bobber float and a size 8 Specimen Plus hook.

Chris now has his sights set on a 3lb+ fish this winter. Good luck!
