World Club Championship – Day 1

Drennan Barnsley Blacks have put in a solid team performance on the River Váh at Žilina and are currently in 4th position in the World Club Champs.


Home nation SRZ MsO Levice Sensas from Slovakia are leading with 12 points with the Czech Republic’s RSK Pardubice Colmic on 14 and Matchfishing-Belarus on 19 points. Barnsley are on 22 points along with Spain and Finland.

On the individual front, Matt Godfrey won his section with 8.194kg and Alan Scotthorne was 2nd in his with 7.108kg, so both these anglers stand an excellent chance of finishing in the top three.
