Tench are on the feed if our recent session at Docklow Pools is anything to go by.

We recently spent an enjoyable day filming on the picturesque Tench Lake at the excellent Docklow Pools near Leominster. This is one of the newest lakes at the Herefordshire venue and a popular draw for holidaymakers.

It didn’t take long to line some tincas up for the cameras – and they certainly showed a liking for Yum Yums soft hooker pellets!

Dan Varney managed numerous quality fish averaging 3lb to 4lb that all put up a good scrap on float tackle. Is there a better springtime species?
