Tim Dabrowa 3lb 1oz Rudd

Rudd are stereotypically a fish of hot, sunny days, but they’re also well worth targeting during the hours of darkness, as Tim Dabrowa found with this 3lb 1oz specimen.
He was fishing a Cambridgeshire river, where he’d been feeding for a few hours before the sun set, drawing a few better fish into the swim. Once they arrived, he cast a piece of floating bread out alongside a small controller float, which he added for casting weight, as well as a starlight on the mainline, to aid bite indication. After hooking the fish, a tense fight followed in the weedy river, but eventually Tim had the specimen safely in the net.

Well done Tim!
