We’ve recently launched a new Series 7 Specialist Avon Quiver  12ft 1¾lb rod – which joins the established and hugely popular 1½ and 1¼ lb versions.   This rod is the ideal choice for the all-rounder needing a more powerful rod for use in a wide range of angling applications, from pursuing river Barbel to longer range Tench & Bream fishing on stillwaters.

Like the lighter test curve Avon Quivers, the 1¾ lb model is supplied with two separate top sections; a classic avon style top, and an abbreviated carrier section with both a 4oz slow taper glass, and 6oz carbon Feeder Tips supplied.  Both these tips feature high visibility white painted tops – and of course additional tips in lighter test curves are available from all Drennan stockists.

One useful feature of the Avon Quiver is the rod is designed in two equal length sections – which makes it easy for the rod to be stored and carried ‘made-up’.  Although the rod is supplied from new in a traditional cloth bag, a padded Super Specialist rod sleeve to fit, and a matching Quiver Holdall, is available from all good Drennan stockists to accommodate the rod.
