Alan traveled to the Drennan UK headquarters to be presented with the famous trophy, and is pictured above receiving it from the previous champion, Jamie Cartwright.

Alan also collected a winners’ cheque for £2,000, which helps reward the time and dedication put in to chase the biggest coarse fish in the country!

Throughout the 2014-15 season, Alan managed to net himself an impressive 5 Drennan Weekly Awards for a variety of species from all over the UK. He landed huge bream in late Spring, including an unforgettable brace of 17lb 6oz and 17lb 5oz. He also landed a stunning 3lb 5oz rudd, an impressive 15lb 8oz barbel and, to top it all off, a magnificent chalk stream roach weighing 3lb 3oz 8dr!

” It is a huge honour to come out on top of a field of anglers made up of such well-respected and genuinely inspiring people. To have my name on the famous Drennan Cup is as good as it gets, added Alan.
