Drennan Team England’s Steve Hemingray with a tremendous stick float-caught haul from the recent Division 1 National match on the Bristol Avon!
Steve managed 7.68 kilos of mainly Dace, with some some roach and a bream – enough to give him 4th place in a 51 peg section. Steve switched between fishing a 5m pole, or a stick float on a Drennan Matchpro Ultralight 14ft rod, FD3000 reel and 3lb Supplex line.
Pole rig was 0.12mm Double Strength to a matching 0.09mm hook length and a size 18 Carbon Match hook, with a 2gm Trio Float. For the Stick float tactics Steve used a 1gm Big Stick Float to a 0.10mm Double Strength hooklength to either a size 17 or 19 Kamasan B911 hook.
