Special Award For Drennan Barnsley

Top UK team, Drennan Barnsley Blacks, have been awarded a special Triple Crown trophy in recognition of their impressive achievements this year.

In just one year the talented squad has managed to win three of the most sought after titles in UK team fishing: The Division One National, the Winter League Final and the Stillwater National.

The Yorkshire-based outfit boasts anglers of the calibre of Alan Scotthorne, Lee Kerry, Denis White and Matt Godfrey, and this massive pool of talent has helped to combat venues as diverse as the Gloucester Canal, the River Trent, Heronbrook Fishery and Cudmore Fishery.

After receiving the award on behalf of Drennan Barnsley, captain Glenn Lawrence commented: “We are all over the moon to have had such a fantastic year winning the treble. We have an extremely diverse and committed team who thrive for success. The support of our sponsor, Drennan, has been a major factor to our dominance. We will be putting up a real scrap to retain our titles next year!”
