Durham specialist (and reigning record British Dace holder!) Simon Ashton with a Yorkshire Barbel.

Fresh from hauling on the River Wye a few weeks back, Simon has been out on the more challenging Rivers Swale and Trent, and has kept on catching.  This fish from the Swale came on 2 x 4mm Elliptical pellets superglued onto the hair, with a little size 14 Super Specialist Barbel hook on a combi-hooklink combrising a 3-foot length of ESP Ghost Fluorocarbon to 12 inches of our fabulous Gravel Braid.
