‘Secret’ specimen angler (and normally a top match angler for Daiwa Dorking) Dave Harpin has been out at it again! This is Dave with his brand new personal best Barbel, a tremendous 13lb 8oz fish, which Dave took from the River Loddon.
Dave claims to have been “without a match to fish in” for quite some time so has been teaching himself all manner of new specimen fishing techniques – such as self timer photography, and judging by this effort, he isn’t doing badly at all! Successful tactics incorporated a CC Moore’s Meteor boilie, broken in half and fished with a PVA mesh bag full of matching pieces – hair-rigged to a Super Specialist Barbel size 14 hook mounted on 20lb ESP Sinklink. Well done indeed Dave!
