Six teams of eight anglers were involved and with mild weather and little wind it promised to be a good match with lots of small fish, plus bonus fish for the framers.

Individual winner on the day went to Drennan Oxford’s Arnold Liaukevicius with an excellent 23lb 10oz. He drew above Elizabeth Jennings Bridge and had 5lb of skimmers on breadpunch then added quality bream, skimmers and perch on caster.

Team mate Ian Young was 2nd with 10lb 11oz. He drew on the end peg above Frenchay Road Bridge and had skimmers and perch on chopped worm.

Dick Ashby was 3rd with 9lb 10oz from the St Edwards School section and again had skimmers and perch on chopped worm.
