Rising Talent Wins War Of The Roses

adam-harman1Adam Harman arrived on the big stage earlier this month after winning the inaugural War Of The Roses event at Partridge Lakes.

This special 80-peg invitation match featured international anglers past and present from Yorkshire and Lancashire amongst a host of top commercial fishery specialists.

Adam drew Peg 21 on Covey Lake 1 and took a steady run of carp to 6lb, F1s and ide for a total catch of 123lb 4oz. To make the victory even sweeter he finished almost 40lb clear of venue expert and brilliant all rounder Lee Addy, who was 2nd with 85lb 14oz.

Adam used a 0.2g AS3 float on 0.13mm line to a 0.117mm Double Strength hooklength. He baited his 18 Silverfish Match hook with a small piece of worm head and fed a chopped worm mix via a pole pot.

Stu commented, “Adam is rapidly proving himself as a very good angler who is destined for great things so we are signing him up for the Drennan Northwest Squad. He’s a match star for the future, so watch this space!”
