Paul Faint 5lb 12oz Eel

Fishing a Colne Valley pit after a hard spring which incurred few blanks, 52 year old Paul Faint, a specimen angler from Waltham Abbey, Essex, finally got amongst his target species, the might eel.
Targeting a deep and weedy swim, Paul decided to fish a Dyson rig with worm hook baits. This rig suspends the hook baits off bottom, and on this session, it certainly worked for Paul, producing two bites. One was from this long, dark fish of 5lb 12oz – the best of his season, whilst the other was from a 4lb 3oz fish.

Well done Paul!
