St Neots all-rounder Paul Elt sent us this picture of a 2lb Rudd following a successful recent trip to the Fens.
Paul used simple floating crust tactics to firstly locate and then target the surface feeders, with a Crystal Wagger to a 3lb Supplex hooklink – fished on a soft-actioned Matchpro 14ft rod.
“I must have walked 5 miles in search of fish until I found some under an overhanging tree. I managed 3 really nice ones of 1lb 13oz, 1lb 15oz and this one of exactly 2lb” explained Paul.
