Dave Ladds caught this huge 5lb 1oz perch on a spinner whilst fishing on a tough northern Stillwater. 

“After a gentle take, I struck into a heavy fish which I immediately suspected was a big perch. After a dogged fight, it made several powerful dives as it neared the marginal shelf.

“There can’t be many sights in angling as beautiful as that of a big perch turning on the surface in clear water, fins bristling, as it makes another dive for the bottom. My legs turn to jelly every time!”
