Another brilliant picture from Portsmouth’s Matt Tann – with a specimen River Wye Barbel caught last month. 

Matt travelled over to Herefordshire for a few days fun barbel fishing, and caught a whole load of fish!   The successful tactic was to use 40g Oval Groundbait Feeders with a 3 foot 8lb Gravel Braid hooklink, but tuck the hookbait gently into the feeder load. 

“It worked to devastating effect and was probably my best week ever on a river with barbel to just into double figures!” reported Matt.
