..after landing numerous 4lb perch from midlands reservoirs, turned his attention to zander, landing this 17lb 5oz fish.
He’d been fishing small shads but, with the light starting to fade, he decided to ‘go big or go home’ and switched to a 16cm bait. Within 30 minutes he hit into what he initially thought might’ve been a pike, but when the big zander surfaced, he didn’t hesitate in landing it.
