Thank you to young Kavanagh Fletch, aged 14 and from Bedfordshire, for sending us this picture of a specimen Chub he caught from the River Ivel on opening day, the 16th June.
“After a long wait on the banks of the River Ivel I soon manged to hook into one of my target species, a specimen chub! After a short battle the big chub was lying on on my unhooking mat!” said Kavanagh, who used the “ever faithful” Drennan Super Specialist Barbel size 8 hook.
“After a couple of prize shots it was soon swimming strongly back in the depths of the Ivel” Kavanagh told us.
