Norwich specialist Josh Fisher is another river angler to start the season in style, with this tremendous 6lb 7oz Wensum Chub being the best of an 8 fish catch!

Josh ventured out on the glorious 16th for an evening session, and by fishing little surface lures, produced a series of aggressive takes.

“Unfortunately I lost another large fish the next cast due to a hook pull, but I’m over the moon with her!” Josh told us.

Josh uses a low diameter wire trace of 10lb or 12lb for this style of fishing, as it does attract a number of Jack Pike.
