Thanks to top angler Gary Newman for this photo of his pair of Martin Bowler Specialist Barbel 12ft 1.75lb rods on the Wye in Herefordshire.
Gary has caught lots of specimen barbel from a whole host of rivers including the Thames, Kennet & Colne etc – these being his current rods of choice.
In the left of shot by the landing net you can see the padded rod sleeve which comes with each rod, allowing it to be easily transported ‘made-up’ – plus Gary’s Super Specialist Large Rod Quiver, which can carry up to 3 rods in sleeves.
