2012-13 Drennan Cup Winner Gareth Goldson visited Drennan HQ in Oxford last week and was presented with the trophy by Peter Drennan.

Gareth entertained us all with the story of his incredible season and collected his winners’ prize of £2000 – thoroughly deserved after a fishing year that most of us can only dream about!

The amazing plinth on the trophy is engraved with details of the winners dating back to 1984, and is a unique piece of specimen fishing heritage. We are currently organising bringing the plinth bang up-to-date with a new band to include Gareth, Steve Ricketts, Simon Buckman and Nigel Bryans, with of course room for the stars of the future!
