Gail’s River Arun Bream Haul

Many thanks to Gail Cottrill and the Pulborough Angling Society for sending us these excellent pictures after an action-packed session fishing for bream.

This catch of Bream totalling 93lb 8oz, including individual fish to 6lb 15oz that was made on the Society controlled stretch of the tidal River Arun in West Sussex on a Drennan Matchpro Medium Feeder Rod.

All of the fish were caught in just five hours on standard feeder tackle of a 2oz tip, 4lb Maxima main line, 0.12 hook length, size 14 hook and a medium wire cage feeder, Gail used a plain breadcrumb goundbait laced with caster and double red maggot on the hook.

Gail normally fishes the waggler or stick float for Roach, but because of the down stream wind and evidence of weed in the swim, opted for feeder tactics.

This is her personal best weight, even topping her catches made in Ireland.
