Although the river at Burton was still carrying water the weights improved slightly. Peg 29 on Baileys, the well known pipe bridge swim produced the winner. Coors angler Ian Shaw fished waggler and casters down the far side of a shallow glide to catch 8 Chub, the biggest just over 5lb for a total of 20lb 8oz. Brian Rigby was runner up on municipal peg 18 catching 5lb of small fish on pole over groundbait, he later switched to a lobworm attack for a big perch and had a surprise 8lb Carp which bumped his weight up to 16lb 7oz. Third again on Baileys 28 was Rich Alexander who had 10lb 2oz of Roach, Dace and Chublets.
