Kinson, Bournemouth specialist Dean Derbyshire won a weekly Drennan award in Angling Times last week for a catch of Roach including this big old survivor!
Dean bagged over 30 fish up to 2lb 4oz on his local Dorset Stour, with over a dozen over 1lb, by alternating between trotting maggots with a stick float and link legering breadflake. Dean used the 4lb Drennan Supplex mainline, to a size 12 hook and breadflake and an 18 for the maggots.
