2008 Drennan Cup winner & Shimano consultant Darran Goulder with a tremendous 6lb 9oz Lea Chub.  This excellent photograph made “picture of the week” in Angling Times recently.

Darran succeded on a difficult, rising river amid torrential rain showers by persisting with maggot feeder tactics.  The successful set-up incorporated a Kamasan Black Cap feeder converted in-line with a tiny 1-inch 6lb Super Specialist Sinkbraid hooklength to a size 16 Super Specialist hook, baited with a single maggot.
