Anglers who had a big chub in their sights at the back end of the season would have found few better venues to target the species than the Thames, as Kent specialist Daniel Woolcott found on a recent trip to the venue towards the end of the season, when he landed fish of 7lb 9oz and 6lb 13oz.
Boilie tactics were his choice, and he presented a Dynamite Baits ‘The Source’ hookbait alongside a PVA bag of chopped boilies and pellets of the same flavour, soaked in matching liquid.
