Thank you to Daniel Gale for this fine picture of his recent 20lb 2oz Gravel Pit Pike caught from a large 200+ acre Berkshire gravel pit.

Daniel float-ledgered a Smelt around 3 rod lengths out, using E-Sox Extra Strong Trebles on 20lb 7-Strand Wire Trace – midway down the marginal shelf on an area baited-up with chopped fish.

“It gave me one of the best fights that I’ve had from a stillwater pike and took around 7-8 minutes of charging around before it was landed. Great fun!” commented Daniel.
