Chris Roberts has kindly sent us this picture of a brace of crucian carp, caught with his trusty two-piece Drennan MatchPro Ultralight 12ft rod.
“I used a small Drennan Crystal insert waggler with three No4 shot resting precisely on the bottom, before a 3-4 inch gap to the hook,” Chris commented. “All bites were, as you can imagine, lift bites. I used casters for bait plus a small amount of crushed hemp mixed with a little water. Mixed quite dry the crushed hemp fizzes without filling them up!”
The venue was Rocklands Mere Fishery in Norfolk, a picturesque venue noted for its quality crucian sport.
