Christian Barker has sent us this fabulous photo of a really good net of Roach caught from a Suffolk Estate Lake on the float.

Using a Drennan Glow Tip Antenna float, Christian presented maggots flavoured with Laguna SAC Pineapple juice over some groundbait using the same flavour. Christian tells us that he finds flavours are a real edge in the silty estate lake, and it consistently out-fishes normal unflavoured maggots.

“I’m starting to enjoy the warmer weather – certainly time to get the waggler rod out and target the silvers!” Christian told us. “It is still early doors on stillwaters – the excellent Drennan Glow Tip floats really help. They dot down superbly, show well even in low light conditions and the antenna top loads the dropper shot to register bites effectively on the drop.”
