Regional organiser for the Tenchfishers Chris Stothard recently had a 48 hour session he won’t forget in a hurry.

Chris told us “I enjoyed a dream session on my first visit to a venue with a rock hard reputation. The session resulted in a new PB female tench of 11lb 9oz and a new PB male of 8lb 4oz. The 11lb 9oz fish was braced an hour later with another of 9lb 10oz and shortly after that, a 9lb 4oz specimen. Seven other tench to 8lb 12oz ensured I ended the session with 11 in total. Feeder fished maggots over hemp, casters, pellets and worm did the trick for me.
