It was the only fish he caught that session, but with it coming on his very first trip to the stretch, he was delighted with the result. Fishing into dark, Chris has the bite at around 1am, just before he was about to pack up.

A boilie hookbait fished to an overhanging tree on the far bank, presented over a scattering of boilies introduced via a catapult, did the trick. The fish is exactly a pound bigger than his previous best, caught from the Dorset Stour back in March.
