Nine years ago, Greg Lane caught his first 3lb rudd, but with a family arriving since then, his time for fishing has been massively reduced. However, on two short sessions in the space of a week, he landed a trio of ‘threes’! Fishing a Norfolk gravel pit with Method feeder tactics and 10mm pop ups, Greg’s first managed a fish of 3lb 2oz on his first session.

Keen to return, he was on the bank again a few days later, arriving at 4:30am and fishing to a shallow plateau that he had prebaited the evening before with 10mm Cell boilies and corn. Between 5:30am and 6am, Greg managed a pair of three-pounders, weighing 3lb 2oz 8dr and 3lb 1oz respectively. After adding a nice tench, Greg packed up and headed off to work, delighted with the result.
Well done Greg!
