The last thing any angler wants to do on a tricky venue is lose a fish, but after doing so on a recent session, Adam Riches put things right a few days later with this 18lb 8oz bream – his new PB.
He was fishing a large midlands water where, during a session earlier this spring, Adam had landed a male that was covered in tubercles and feared the fish would soon be spawning in the unseasonably warm conditions. But a cool northerly wind kept them feeding, and after locating them in a section of the lake he was gutted to lose one in the early hours of the morning. But a few days later he returned and banked the new PB in the shape of this lovely 18lb 8oz specimen. A homemade boilie hookbait fished on a helicopter rig to a silty area at range produced the bite.
Well done Adam!
