Lukasz Gamonski from Poland has kindly sent us this photo of a stunning carp he managed to land on his latest session using our Matchpro Medium Feeder rod.
During a short evening session he managed to land three carp, the smallest at just over 8lb, a 22lb fish and the biggest one of the session weighing an impressive 31lb!
Lukasz’s setup was very simple; a Matchpro Medium Feeder rod coupled with a small fixed spool reel loaded with 8lb Feeder & Method Mono. At the rig end he fished a small Method feeder loaded with 6mm pellet and a short Super Specialist Microbraid hooklength to a size 12 Super Specialist hook baited with a grain of corn.
Although the Matchpro Medium Feeder is certainly not designed for specimen-sized carp like this, it highlights what it is capable of landing with balanced tackle.
