Here’s a photograph of a beautiful mirror carp caught by Spanish angler Paco.

Our friend Paco is an angling media star in Spain who caught a December carp at the weekend of 11 kilos (24lb+) and provided the following report:

“Here’s a beautiful mirror carp, caught yesterday in a lake under a Spanish cloudy day (we also have these sometimes). The carp was caught using a Drennan Acolyte Margin Carp 9.5 pole. The line was Supplex Fluorocarbon 0.20mm direct with a Specimen Barbless number 14 hook and a little blob of pure liquidised corn paste. The elastic was red Carp Bungee.

“My hands are still trembling after a long fight! Now, I am expecting to get the stronger orange Power Bungee to pursue bigger ones in the depth of winter. Congratulations! Your tackle goes on being number one.”
