Gary Wins Round Three Of Oxford Summer League

The third round of the Oxford Summer League was fished by 7 teams of 6 on the River Thames at Dorchester and Benson.

1st: Gary Barclay (Drennan Oxford Blue) – 31lb 4oz.

Gary drew the first peg at Benson and had 4 large bream, the biggest going 6lb 6oz on the pole fishing with maggot along with a number of perch and roach on a 4m whip with maggot.

2nd: John Aldridge (Isis) – 14lb 4oz.

John drew the middle section of Dorchester and caught a 5lb chub along with a 5lb bream and a 2lb perch, plus smaller fish on the chop worm feeder fished to the far bank.

3rd: Simon Duke (Isis) – 13lb 9oz.

Simon drew the bottom section at Benson and caught mainly roach on pole fished maggot over groundbait.

4th: Matt Barnett (Drennan Bordon) – 12lb 13oz.

5th: Martin Phipps (Drennan Oxford Yellow) – 11lb 15oz.
